This web-based community resource developed as a result of several Golden Community Conversations held in 2009. These gatherings, hosted by the Together Church of Golden, were attended by representatives from different segments of the community, including local service clubs, the faith community, City of Golden, Jefferson County, schools, various community groups, non-profits, School of Mines, youth, Golden Chamber of Commerce, residents, and Golden Police and Fire Departments. Our purpose was to discuss and explore ways to:
- increase communication, coordination and collaboration in our community
- develop partnerships between groups and individuals
- increase effective and efficient use of resources
- increase access to local and Golden area resources
- provide a venue for responding to community needs
- connect with each other for the well-being of all who live in Golden
This resource is for use by individuals, groups and organizations. It is a way to connect with others in Golden, to facilitate interaction and build partnerships that will strengthen our community, and to provide information that encourages participation in, and support of, a wide variety of community efforts.
